Ellen Page, 28, is happily in love with her girlfriend, Samantha Thomas, and she’s ready to really start showing their relationship off. The lovebirds attended the premiere of the actress’ film Freeheld at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sept. 13, and looked so amazing in matching outfits for their debut as a couple on the red carpet. So sweet!
The movie’s premiere was an especially special moment for these two to make their first official appearance together, because the film — which stars Ellen and Julianne Moore — tells the story of a lesbian couple fighting for domestic partner benefits. “I’m in love,” the actress gushed to E! News on the carpet.
Ellen came out as gay at the Time To THRIVE conference, which promotes the issues of the gay community, on Feb. 14, 2014. “I’m here today because I am gay,” she proudly shared. “And because…maybe, I can make a difference. I am tired of hiding and I am tired of lying by omission. I suffered for years because I was scared to be out.”
We’re so happy the actress finally feels comfortable being her true self, and that she’s found such a good relationship and someone she’s so in love with. We can’t wait to see more of these two together!
