Wada emerged victorious in Kogi governorship primary election of PDP


The incumbent governor of Kogi State, Captain Idris Wada, has emerged victorious in the just concluded governorship primary election of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) held at the Lokoja Confluence Stadium.

As at the time filing this report Wada had polled 710 of the votes cast, while Alhaji Jibrin Isah Echocho polled 145 of the 854 total accredited votes.
This means Wada will carry PDP’s flag at the November 21 gubernatorial election.
Meanwhile, Alhaji Jibrin Isah Echocho, after congratulating Governor Idris, told journalists that the primary was free and fair. He also said he is ready to work diligently to ensure the PDP secures victory at the poll.

The governor was declared winner by the Chairman of the primary election, Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Uguanyi.
