Madeline Stuart looks great on that runway! The Australian model with Down syndrome made her debut at New York Fashion Week on Sept. 13 in FTL Moda’s Spring 2016 collection show. Check out her fierce looks on the runway here!
Looking good, girl! All eyes were on Madeline Stuart, 18, as she strutted her stuff down the FTL Moda catwalk at New York Fashion Week on Sept. 13. The 18-year-old model with Down syndrome, who was signed to walk the runway in association with the Christopher Reeve Foundation, modeled more than one look during the fashion show!
The Brisbane model’s debut makes her the second model with down syndrome to walk on the NYFW catwalk! Throughout the show, Madeline’s face was painted in sparkly blue and silver paint as she modeled two looks. The first was a beautiful, floor-length, one-sleeved dress featured a corset top with a three-tiered detailing around the hips along with a ruffled skirt. That wasn’t the only look Madeline walked in for the label.
Madeline’s second look required a little bit of assistance from two hunky male models painted from head-to-toe in blue paint with jelly fish on their chest. The 18-year-old walked down the catwalk in an edgy looking tank top with a fish on it. The top was paired with shiny, navy blue shorts.
Madeline’s Previous Runway Experience
Madeline’s NYFW debut wasn’t the first time she’s been on the runway in New York. The 18-year-old model previous walked another runway in support of auto immune awareness. In addition to that, Madeline has appeared in a number of editorial and commercial campaigns! The red-headed model has been working with handbag company, EverMaya, and will be the face of a new line of handbags launching on Sept. 18th! All of the proceeds from her line will be donated to the National Down Syndrome Society. Madeline is changing the world of fashion as we know it!
