CNN mistakes San Antonio Spurs' LaMarcus Aldridge for Lamar Odom During Live Coverage

CNN have been urged to apologise by viewers, after they mistakenly used a picture of LaMarcus Aldridge, when talking about Lamar Odom's hospitalisation.

The 35-year-old former NBA player was rushed to hospital this week after being found unconscious at a Nevada brothel.

When reporting on his ongoing condition during a live chat in the news studio, CNN included a picture of the San Antonio Spurs star in a photo montage of Odom's career.

It didn't take long for viewers to spot CNN's error.

Lamar continues to be in a critical condition as he fights for his life in Las Vegas. There have been reports though, that his situation could be improving.

Entertainment Tonight claimed that the ex NBA star has been showing slight signs of recovery and squeezed his former sister-in-law Kim's hand.

A source said: "There have been a few encouraging moments, including when Odom briefly fluttered open his eyes and squeezed Kim Kardashian's hand."

Lamar, who was married to Kim's sister Khloe, is in a medically-induced coma after being found unconscious at a brothel in Las Vegas on Tuesday.
