Lamar Odom had a death wish, according to the father of Lamar’s best friend – who tragically died in June.
Jamie Sangouthai died earlier this year from a flesh-eating bacteria which he caught through intravenous drug use.
His father - Guillermo Castillo – believes that Lamar, who was friends with him from childhood was overcome with grief.
He told New York Daily News: “I think Lamar is done. I think most of it is because he missed my son so much.
“I think deep inside they had a death wish, or a wish to die together. It sounds very cold-blooded, but I have a hard time controlling my emotions.”
Lamar, who was married to Kim's sister Khloe, is in a medically-induced coma after being found unconscious at a brothel in Las Vegas on Tuesday.
He is believed to now be showing slight signs of improvement and it what appears to be a positive sign Kris, Kylie and Kim have all left his bedside.
Khloe alluded to her concerns for Lamar, over the death of his friend Jamie in an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, which recently aired.
In an upsetting scene Khloe is seen having a tense phone conversation with her ex, who she married in September 2009. She exclaims: “One f****** death after another. I can’t handle it.”
She continued: “Lamar’s best friend since he’s been like 12, Jamie, just passed away unexpectedly. This is all just really upsetting. He’s distraught and devastated.”
“Lamar has suffered so much loss in his life. I’m always going to be there for Lamar, especially when something as tragic as this happens."
