The NBA star was discovered by two girls working at the love ranch, and in a 911 call - he was described as unconscious but breathing
Lamar Odom spent '$85,000' on a five day stay at The Love Ranch brothel, before he tragically collapsed on Tuesday.
The 35-year-old was discovered unconscious at the Nevada pay-for-sex establishment at around 3pm on Tuesday afternoon. He is currently in a critical condition in a Las Vegas hospital, where he has remained in a coma.
Sources have exclusively told The Mirror that the star had negotiated a deal worth $85,000 with the two sex workers he'd selected on arrival and had been planning to spend five days at the ranch.
They said that all those who had met Lamar were "distraught" by what had happened.
"He's a good guy. Everyone who met him fell in love with him," the insider revealed, "He wore his pain on his face and there was a vulnerability and softness about him."
"He had impeccable manners, he was incredibly polite to the girls, they all really liked him."
Claiming Odom had "depressed eyes," they admitted that Lamar while he seemed "very upset," didn't reveal exactly why.
"He was guarded," they continued, "Very private."
It was the star's first trip to the ranch and according to the source Lamar was after "female interaction."
"He would sit and talk to the girls and just enjoy chatting with them."
The Love Ranch's owner Dennis Hof confirmed that he checked-in on Saturday after being picked up by a chauffeur at his home in Las Vegas.
Ex-wife Khloe Kardashian, her family including sister Kim and mother Kris Jenner are currently at his bedside as the basketball player fights for his life. Odom's children -Destiny, 17 and Lamar Jr. 13, are also at the hospital along with his father Joe.
Richard Hunter, a spokesman for the business - which is around 70 miles outside Las Vegas - told the New York Daily News: “The girls said he was a generous guy. He was polite and reserved.”
“He just wanted his privacy. The VIP suite is very self-contained, and that was what he was looking for. You wouldn’t know he was in the house," he added.
Admitting that Odom had exhibited worrying signs he went on: “My biggest concern in retrospect was that he asked to be left alone Monday night.
