Glo subscribers to enjoy free calls, data

Nigeria’s Next Generation Network, Globacom has announced an unprecedented customer loyalty promotion that will give subscribers 15 days of free calls, SMS and data every month. Launching the extraordinary promo on Tuesday, Globacom said it will give subscribers on its network the value of all the airtime they expended on calls, SMS and data in a day from 12 midnight to 12 midnight free throughout the next day.

Globacom’s Manager, Devices and Partnership, Mr Odafe Akerejola, said that the value in the promo was unprecedented in the 14 years history of telecoms in the country. He further said: “The only precursor of this magnitude we could recall was the Per Second Billing which Globacom pioneered.

This, therefore, is the next biggest thing after Per Second Billing.” According to Akerejola, Free Tomorrow measures exactly the value of how much data and airtime a subscriber uses in a day for calls, SMS and internet browsing, upload and download, and then credits the subscriber the next day with the same value of the previous day’s usage for free.

He explained: “For instance, if a Glo subscriber uses N500 credit in a day on calls, SMS and data, Glo will give him back N500 credit the very next day.”
