The senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator Gbenga Ashafa, yesterday charged the 18 ministerial nominees confirmed by the Senate on Wednesday to make the All Progressives Congress-led Federal Government and the nation proud in their areas of responsibility.
Ashafa, who expressed confidence in the ability of the ministers to deliver on the electoral promises of the APC and President Muhammadu Buhari, assured Nigerians that the crop of leaders would lift up the country and deliver on the party’s promises to make the country’s economy more competitive and productive.
Ashafa said: “I, Senator Gbenga Ashafa, representing the Lagos East Senatorial District, hereby congratulate the 18 eminent Nigerians, who were yesterday, October 14, 2015, confirmed as ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“While I recognise that the task before them is both herculean and complex, I am confident in their ability to succeed and set Nigeria on the path of greatness.”
