Indications are rife that governors under the platform of the All Progressives Congress have decided to support the fuel subsidy removal proposed by the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
According to The Union, the governors made the decision at the Governors Forum meeting which was held at the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, Abuja.
The meeting was attended by governors of the APC and their counterparts in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and their discussions was mainly centered on the economy.

A source who preferred to remain anonymous disclosed that the APC governors position was that not removing the subsidy could worsen the country’s recession.
