An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain and former Lagos State Commissioner for Health and Education, Dr Leke Pitan, has lost his mother, Mrs Solabomi Ojuolape Pitan. The 81-year-old Madam Pitan was active and busy attending social and religious functions all through the weekend before succumbing to the cold hands of death late Sunday evening.
On Saturday, according to a statement by Head, Dr Leke Pitan Media Office, Afolayan Adebiyi, she was at the wedding introduction ceremony of one of her grand-daughters, Abimbola Ishola, at Ogba area of Ikeja. The statement reads in part: “On Sunday, she was at the Harvest Service/ceremony of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), Victoria Island Parish, Sura, Lagos Island. She was active, hale and hearty all through these programmes.
