Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State Wednesday said that about 6,00 herds of cattle are slaughtered daily for consumption across the state’s abattoirs while 15.96 million bags of 50kg rice are consumed in the state annually.
The Governor made the disclosure while signing the historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kebbi State in respect of the establishment of a commodity values chain.
At the signing of the MoU was a high-powered delegation from Kebbi State led by the State Governor, Senator Atiku Bagudu and Emirs of the Kebbi Emirate councils. They were joined by the members of the Lagos and Kebbi States Executive Council.
