The All Progressives Congress (APC), Bayelsa State has called for the resignation of the Minister of State for Agriculture, Senator Heineken Lokpobori. The state executive of the party led by the chairman, Chief Timipa Orunimighe made the call at the National Secretariat of the party in Abuja.
Orunimighe, addressing journalists in Abuja called on the President, Muhammadu Buhari to stand against the sale of political appointments due for Bayelsa APC members.
He alleged that the Minister of State for Agric bought his ministerial slot from the former governor of the state and APC governorship candidate in the last election, Chief Timipre Sylva.
But in a swift reaction, Timipre Sylva dismissed the allegation, stating that state party chairman was just unnecessary angry because he was not made his running mate during the last governorship election.
