A source in the community said the man had trailed the woman to her farm last Tuesday where he killed her. The source added that relatives of the victim became worried and raised the alarm when Enekola did not return from the farm.
The search party raised by the relatives discovered her headless body in the farm. “Some people who were sent from the community to go and search for Mama were shocked to find her headless body in the farm. More shocking is the fact that when they came back home, her head was discovered with her grandson,” the source said. Members of the community reportedly swooped on the suspect to lynch him, but the police from Otukpa intervened and saved his life.
