A 35-year-old housewife, Nneka Ifeoze, is now in the custody of the police in Enugu State for allegedly attacking her nine-yearold housemaid. Ifeoze, who hails from Nkwerre Local Government Area of Imo State, resides at No. 3, Ava Okocha Street in Enugu South Local Government Area of Enugu State.
The victim, Oluebube Orji, also from Nkwerre in Imo State, was said to have incurred the wrath of Ifeoze 8a.m. yesterday, when the woman returned home to discover that her two yearold- boy left in the care of the maid, was assaulted by the victim. The suspect became angry and unplugged the pressing iron which she used to attack Orji.
The victim, who sustained burns, was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention. When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ebere Amaraizu, confirmed the incident.
