Police in Lagos have arrested a man, Seun Makinde, for being in possession of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp. Makinde of No 2 Yinusa Street, Ado-Odo area of Ogun State, was arrested in Shagari Estate by a team of policemen led by Inspector Ameh David who was on patrol duty with his colleagues.
Meanwhile, Pastor Samuel Agbaje of Divine Grace Church, Cele village, Alimosho, has called on Otabor to check lawlessness at the popular Alaguntan spare part dealers spot in the area. Agbaje said the activities of these dealers were causing great concern for the residents.
He said that the major road from Alimosho, linking Iyana- Ipaja with Egbeda, had been taken over by spare parts’ dealers. Agbaje noted that the spare parts’ dealers have turned the road to a mechanic workshop. He said: “The road has of recent been converted to mechanic workshop by spare parts’ dealers, leading to gridlock and accidents.”
