Few hours after President Muhammadu Buhari held a meeting with Catholic Bishops, a priest of the church, Rev. Fr. Willy Ojokwu has charged the president to fight the Fulani herdsmen with the same zeal he is fighting corruption.
Fr. Ojukwu at a press conference on Tuesday for the planned inauguration of his foundation, Marian Soup Kitchen, described as unacceptable and highly discouraging, the utterances and actions of the Buhari government in tackling the menace of the herdsmen.
“The primary job of any government at all level is to protect lives and property of the citizens. In view of this, I call on the Federal Government to wake up and take the present Fulani herdsmen (attack) very serious,” he said.
