Liverpool's young talent will miss this season with knee injury

Joe Gomez who is a Liverpool defender will miss the rest of the EPL season with a serious knee injury, ESPN reports.

Gomez, 18, injured his right knee during the match between England and Kazakhstan Under-21’s teams on Tuesday night.

Gareth Southgate, England’s Under 21 team coach, said: “It seems to be okay, we were a bit concerned at first but we are hopeful it’s nothing too serious”.

Gomez played for Liverpool in the first five games of the EPL season and first two Europa League games against Bordeaux and FC Sion.

He was signed by Liverpool from Sky Bet Championship side Charlton in June.
