We’ll bounce back — Bode George

Former Deputy National Chairman (South West) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Olabode George, has predicted that the party will bounce back from its defeat at the 2015 general elections.

He stated that the PDP was only given a bloody nose, not a knock-out. Speaking yesterday as guest speaker during the Minerva Philosophical Association lecture held in Lagos with the theme ‘Leadership, Change and National Continuity’, the PDP chieftain noted that the opposition party will steadily engage the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), in constructive criticism.

George, who urged his fellow party men to wake up to the reality that a new government is in the saddle of leadership in the country, stated that the task before them (PDP) is to know how to redefine and re-articulate their engagement of the new team.

He said: “There can’t be just one party in the system. The PDP will surely rebound through constructive criticism.”
