5 Military Personnel Feared Killed As Suspected Pipeline Vandals Struck In Ogun State

Pipeline Vandals

At least five military personnel were feared killed when suspected pipeline vandals struck at Arepo, Ogun State, about four months after seven officers of the Department of State Security (DSS) were ambushed, killed and allegedly buried in shallow graves by vandals at Ishawo , Ikorodu in Lagos State.

The criminals have recently come under severe pressure from the joint security Anti-Pipeline vandalism operation codenamed AWATSE.

The vandals, it was gathered, launched a reprisal against the security agents who had on Wednesday, overpowered them during exchange of fire. The criminals had loaded a tanker as well as dozens of Jerry cans with fuel before they were dislodged by security operatives.

The criminals regrouped on Thursday night, started a fire and killed military operatives during an ambush. Three corpses were said to have been retrieved last night while two were still missing.
