Abductors have contacted the family of a pregnant housewife, Mrs. Habiba Ibrahim, who was declared missing on Saturday in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. A family source said yesterday that the abductors have started communicating the family. The source said for security reasons, she would not be able to give details of the discussions with the abductors.
The family source requested the general public to keep remembering Ibrahim in their prayers until she is released. According to her, there will be celebrations after her release. She said: “We have been going through a very terrible situation here, it is unexplainable. The traumatic experience of missing Habiba has thrown the family into sorrow.
But at the moment, her abductors have finally contacted the family. There is communication between them and her husband. “For security reasons, I will keep mum over the details in order not to jeopardise our chances of getting her back alive. Let every person keep praying for her release because there will be full celebration when she returns”.
Ibrahim, who also has a three-year-old child, was abducted on Saturday at Gwarinpa area in Abuja, while returning from an outing. Her car had developed a mechanical fault at Gwarinpa, on her way to Kubwa. After parking the car at one of her relatives’ house, she took a taxi heading to Kubwa. Unfortunately the fivemonth- old pregnant woman was abducted.
