NDLEA Raids Drug Addicts’ Babatope Okeowo Den, Arrests 25

At least 25 suspected drug addicts and traffickers were arrested when officials National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) raided a popular drug users’ den, described as “The Black Street” in Sabo area of Kaduna. The agency also seized cocaine and other unlawful drugs.

Some of the suspects paraded at the Kaduna Command Headquarters of the NDLEA yesterday confessed to the crime.

Parading the suspects, the state NDLEA Commander, Samuel Azige, said during the raid, both cracked and powdered forms of cocaine were recovered from the suspects.

According to Azige, preliminary investigations show that the suspects wrap the powdered cocaine and sell, while they heat and inhale the cracked ones.
