Benue State Police Command Tuesday confirmed the arrest of a 22-year-old nursing mother, Mrs. Mwuese Ayom, for allegedly stabbing her neighbour, Tererse Ayua, to death in Gboko town.
Mrs. Ayom’s case came just as angry youths in Aliade town also committed jungle justice by setting ablaze a suspected notorious criminal after beating him to a pulp.
The Command’s Public Relation’s Officer, Moses Yamu told ‘New Telegraph’ that the woman was arrested for culpable homicide, adding that the suspect has been charged to court.
Mwuese, who was paraded at the command’s headquarters in Makurdi alongside 15 other suspects arrested for various crimes, said she was provoked by the deceased.
