Relatives of the 38-year old Lowo Oyediran, who was allegedly murdered in Ibadan by his lawyer wife, Yewande Oyediran, yesterday called on the concerned authorities to ensure justice in the case.
Oyediran’s elder brother, Adelani Oyediran, who spoke on behalf of the family, said the deceased was billed to return to France tomorrow in pursuit of his business plans. Adelani, who is the head of the Ajanaku family of Gbongan, raised the fear that the powers that- be had made surreptitious moves to subvert the case.
He, however, warned that justice must be allowed to take its full course in the matter. Owing to domestic feud over alleged infidelity, Yewande, who works at the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Oyo State Ministry of Justice, allegedly attacked his late husband with a pair of scissors around 3a.m. on Tuesday, February 2.
Yewande, a Master of Law degree holder from a South African University and daughter of a Catholic venerable, was later arrested and is currently being detained at Iyaganku, Ibadan.
It was learnt yesterday that the rift that resulted in the unfortunate incident in the three-year-old family was the marital relationship between Lowo and a lady in France, leading to the birth of a baby boy.
