1,200‎ Teachers Set To Resume In Lagos


Towards addressing the challenge of shortage of teachers in Lagos State, the 1,200 primary school teachers newly recruited by the state are set to resume.

This was contained in a statement issued Monday by the Public Affairs Officer of the state’s Universal Basic Education Board, (LSUBEB) ‎Mr. Seyi Akitoye.

According to him, the LSUBEB Chairman, Dr Ganiyu Sopeyin, has congratulated the newly employed teachers, urging them to reciprocate government gesture by putting in their best in the state service.

He stressed that Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode will continue to do more in order to provide quantitative and qualitative education in conducive atmosphere in the state adding that “more goodies are coming from the Governor.”

‎The chairman said the successful teachers were appointed following transparent stages of examination processes in order to get the best for the state primary school education system.

According to him new employees who have earlier received SMS messages, are advised to collect their letters of employment at the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board, Maryland.
