Somali police said six people were injured on Monday in an explosion at a central Somali airport.
The police said in Mogadishu that the bomb suspected to have been concealed in a laptop, went off at the entrance to Beledweyne airport as security officials were screening travellers.
An officer explained on condition of anonymity that the laptop was in a suitcase with a printer.
He said one person had been arrested in connection with the incident, reports dpa.
The officer recalled that in February, a bomb planted by Islamist group al-Shabaab blasted a hole in the side of a passenger plane that was in the air, causing the suspected bomber to fall out.
He said that the plane caught fire and returned to Mogadishu airport.
