President of Ode-Omu Progressive Union (OPU) in Oriade council area of Osun State, Professor Isaac Ayoola Ojo yesterday charged the newly matriculated students of Kings University located in the town to shun cultism and other untoward acts capable of ruining their future.
Professor Ojo who gave the advice while speaking with newsmen, also preached against hooliganism and truancy which could retard and mar their progress in life. He however asked them to remain focus on their education, saying that only their dedication would propel them to excel.
“The establishment of the university will go a long way at promoting the socio/economic activities of Ode-Omu while foreign investors would also be attracted at coming to invest in the community,” Ojo said.
Also, Ojo while speaking on the 64th anniversary of Pastor Mathew Ashimolowo which coincided with the institution’s matriculation ceremony of the pioneer students/official opening of the university, estolled the Pastor’s virture and prayed that God should grant him long life.
