Pro-Biafran group, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has dissociated itself from the purported killing of Fulani herdsmen in Abia State, as alleged by Department of State Services (DSS).
In a release made available to New Telegraph via e-mail in Enugu Tuesday by its spokesman, Emma Powerful, the group said: “It has become absolutely necessary, to inform the whole world about the tragic-comedy playing out in this part of the world.
“A grave allegation of killing in cold blood and burying five Northerners was heaped on the IPOB by the DSS. Nigerians from the six geo political zones and foreigners alike, screamed,” the release pointed out.
According to the release, there was no truth whatsoever in the alleged killing, describing it as a script manufactured to tarnish the image of the pro-Biafran group.
The statement alleged that one unknown quantity called Samson Babalola and his equally non-existent “minority” were used by unseen hands to rope in the organisation in an incident they know nothing about.
