
The policeman identified as Moruf Awoleke had on Wednesday night shot dead a 32-year-old commercial motorcyclist, Hammed Posi, for allegedly violating the restriction order placed on motorcycle operators.
‘New Telegraph’ gathered that the incident happened at 9pm around Igbo-Aje motor park in Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government Area of the state.
Eye witnesses said Posi, who had gone to buy some food items in the town, was intercepted by three policemen mounting an illegal checkpoint.
After accusing him of violating restriction order, the police officers were said to have attempted to seize his motorcycle.
