Atiku, Dogara Condole With Ganduje Over Mother’s Death


Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, yesterday condoled with Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, over the death of his mother, Hajiya Fadimatu Umaru Ganduje.

In a statement issued by his media office in Abuja yesterday, Atiku said Fadimatu lived a fulfilled life. According to him, the deceased had lived long enough to see her children realise their dreams in their professional fields. Similarly, Dogara in a statement issued by his spokesman, Turaki Hassan, described the death of Fadimatu as a big loss not only to the Ganduje family but to Kano State and Nigeria at large.

The speaker extolled the virtue of the late Hajiya also described her as a noble woman who feared God and lived an exemplary life worthy of emulation. “We take solace in the fact that she left behind a lasting legacy which we would continue to emulate,” he said.
