Pregnant Woman Suffers Tragic Accident, You Won’t Believe What Happened After

An accident victim allegedly paid an unexpected to her friend, few hours after she died

According to LEADERSHIP Sunday news, a pregnant woman reportedly visited her friend after she was crushed to death by a reckless driver.

The accident which claimed the 3-months pregnant woman and her one year and four months old son’s life, occurred at Suru Alaba bus-stop, Ajeromi-Ifelodun LGA, Lagos state.

The deceased was said to have visited her friend who sells amala at Ojo road, Ajegunle, about two hours after the tragic incident.

According to an eyewitness, Dupe Fagbemi, a Lexus SUV had been trying to reverse against traffic, and had ended up hitting the pregnant woman, identified as Elo, and her son. A 40-feet-container truck also reportedly rammed into the SUV, making the impact fatal.

Fagbemi said the driver of the truck had taken to his heels as soon as he saw the damage he had done, but was given a hot pursuit by commercial motorcyclists that operated along the area. He also disclosed that the head of the woman was smashed open, and the baby’s belly burst, revealing his intestines.

Confirming the deceased’s unexpected visit to her friend, a family friend identified as Odafe, revealed that Elo and her son had indeed appeared at her friend’s amala joint, eaten and subsequently left the scene. About 10 minutes after the deceased had ‘vanished’, her friend got the information that she was dead, which she did not believe till she had gotten to the scene of the accident.

Elo who hailed from Delta state, was said to be a fashion designer at Ojo road, and had lived with her husband at Surulere. She had been on her way home from work when she met her fatal death.

Her elder sister had just been delivered of a baby, but decisions were made not to tell her the tragic news.

Men of the Layeni police station are said to be handling the situation.
