2,500 Women To Benefit From Cervical Cancer Screening As Buhari’s Wife Arrives Oyo

Wife of the President, Haija Aisha Buhari arrived Ibadan, Oyo state capital Wednesday evening ahead of the free health screening programme for women scheduled to take place on Thursday.
She promised that over 2,500 women across the 33 local government areas of the state will be screened of breast and cervical cancer as part of the benefits of her Future Assured Initiative.‎

Haija Buhari was officially received by the State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi at the Federal Airport, Alakia, Ibadan.‎
Hundreds of people clad in Hausa, Yoruba and Ibo attires as well as school pupils and students besieged the airport premises to welcome the wife of the President.
Shortly after her arrival, Haija Buhari paid a courtesy visit to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji, where she noted that Oyo State was chosen in the Southwest region as the centre for her future assured initiative which is aimed at free health screening for women in the country.
