According to recent reports, 5 senators are gearing up to replace Bukola Saraki as Senate president of Nigeria should the latter fail to survive his trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal.
They include:
Mohammed Shaaba Lafiagi (APC, Kwara North)
Abdullahi Adamu (APC, Nasarawa West)
Ike Ekweremadu (PDP, Enugu West)
Ali Ndume (APC, Borno South)
Ahmed Lawan (APC, Yobe North)
